Special Assessment Explanation

At the Buckhorn Ranch Board of Directors meeting on December 5^th, 2009, the BOD was faced with a very tough decision. It was decided that a HOA owners' special assessment was necessary in order to get the Buckhorn Ranch HOA's 2010 Budgets out of its deficit condition.  The special assessment was considered the best option. The other option was to raise the monthly HOA due commitment going forward. This would have raised your monthly HOA dues forever.

So, the special assessment for Filing 1 and 2A owners is a one-time assessment of $150.00.
For Filing 2B, the one-time assessment is $75.00.

We accomplished two goals with this assessment.

1. The Buckhorn Ranch 2010 budget has sufficient funds to operate. 
2. The HOA now has a very critical albeit small, capital reserve fund.
